If I had remained on Movable Type, I probably would have run the gauntlet of instructions to get Doug Bowman's gallery templates and scripts working. But since I've switched to WordPress, I'm looking into Gallery and the WPG plug-in. Hopefully I can hack the templates to get something that will work with the rest of the site's design. In the meantime, I think I will stick to using Photon to upload my photos as individual posts. It's quite handy if you're into iPhoto.

I also tried to upgrade to MT 3.2, but found it a bear. On a whim I installed WordPress, which is PHP/MySQL based, on my PowerBook and got it running in a few minutes. I then spent two days customizing the templates and I have to say I'm really impressed with WordPress. For something that is open source and free, it's very full-featured. Over the next few days I'll be tweaking the home page.
