Hi Simon, try it now. You will need FP8 though. (or quicktime to download the linked QT file). They're working the frame rates, but haven't fully worked out what the increments will be.

Hry John,

I couldn't make it to the ResFest presentation by Jan so I appreciate the effort you made to shoot and put the presentation on the net.

Saw your HVX-200 post on the cutters list. I'm lusting after that camera like you (probably would) believe. The DVCPRO HD formt (and variable frame rate and increased color space) are the big draw cards of course and I think Canon has missed the mark using the HDV format for their new camera. Did Jan say what variable frame rates were avaible in 720P?

Anyway, the Flash movie won't load. I have Flash installed but not the latest Flash 8 Player. I think this may be the reason I can't view the Flash 8 video on your site (strange though no?). I figure this would be good information for you to know. FYI, I encode Flash video thus I've got some experience with the app.

Yeah, it would be ince if the default skins had timecode. It certainly could be done, and if I ever have time, I'd like to write some controls for listng chapter points, timecode, etc... I can post as a QT (probably H.264) but the source is on a drive at home and I'm at work for at least a few more hours and then I'm on baby patrol. So maybe I can get a QT version up tomorrow AM since recompressing takes so long.

Hi John, great that your team got around to making flash8 opengl-compatible (at last, might I add? :-D). The quality is not bad (some hickups here and there, never seen those with qt), but I miss the compatibility with my editing apps - can't import, can I? There is no time display, right? So how do I know where I'm at? And most importantly: how can I download this movie and save it for posterity?

Hi Cees, You may need to quit and restart your browser. Please try that. I've tested in Mac Safari 2.0, Mac Firefox 1.5b1, and Windows IE6, and Windows Firefox 1.5b1. Please let me know if that works for you. John
